Introducing MÁVAR, an ambient noise and glitch musician who creates haunting soundscapes that transport listeners to otherworldly realms, drawing inspiration from the frustrations within the uncaring and complacent world we find ourselves living in.

With their debut release "Blóð úr steini" MÁVAR shine a light on the harsh reality, misery and despair of the violent and soul crushing life of the Icelandic rural farmhand in the early 19th century.

Dense, noisy, cold and dreadful. The soundscapes conducted by MÁVAR are in turn anxiety inducing yet hauntingly beautiful. Dark, cold and unforgiving like the history of their native land.
